The First Scientific and Practical Conference "Internet and society" will be Held on 27-28th of september 2001 by Kutaisi State Technical University with the suport of Bureaun of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA) |
Subjects of the Conference.
The Scientific and practical conference �Internet and society� will discuss wide variety of problems concerning the usage of internet-technologies in education, economics and management, in mass media and in development of civil society.
The conference will be divided in 4 sections:
1. Internet � The world global net � perspective of Internet appearance and development the structure of Internet and it�s functional principles, informational resources. Internet � the new stage in development of informational society.
2. Internet and Civil Society � the role of Internet in development of open-democratic organizations, funds and programs in development of internet. The perspective of Internet in work of nongovernmental organizations Mass media in Internet. To provide local and state government with information on the basic of Internet-technologies.
3. Internet and Education � the role of Internet in science and education. Distant teaching. University Internet-centers. Educational resources of Internet. The experience of teaching Internet at high schools.
4. Internet and Economics � economical structures on the basic of Internet-technologies Transformation of economical structures in informational society. economical problems of functioning Internet. Internet-providers. Usage of its informational resources in economics.
The stages of the Conference.
The program of the conference involves sectional meetings, computer demonstrations in the laboratories of �Informational Systems� department of the University.
Informational Material of the Conference.
The participants of the conference will be acquainted with the following material:
1.The program of the conference
2.The theses of the reports to be made on the conference.
Participants have to produce their advertisements and theses of the reports until the 17st of September 2001. E-mail address is [email protected] or fax 99533120680.
Please, while producing theses of the reports, pay attention the following points:
1. Report subjects.
2. Conference sections.
3. Authors� names and surnames.
4. Organization.
5. City.
6. Telephone/e-mail.
7. Resume of the report in English.
These won�t exceed 2 pages. Page format is A4, use GeoTimes font, measure 12, interval 1.
Participants� Advertisements must involve the following points:
1. Author�s name, surname.
2. Organization.
3. Post, scientific degree and academic rank.
4. The address of the organization.
5. Telephone/fax/e-mail.
Participation in conference is free of charge and is financed by ECA grant.
The massages about discussion of theses invitations to the conference will be send to the participants by e-mail until 20th of September 2001.
